|
For Emission and Immunity Measurements for the proof of the electromagnetic compatibility an electromagnetically shielded environment without reflexions is needed. This is achieved by the use of an anechoic chamber. An anechoic chamber is a defined environment with metallic, electrically conductive walls, which are backed with absorbers. These absorbers suppress the reflexions of the electromagnetic waves by transforming the field energy into thermal energy. The metallic walls shield the interior of the chamber from the outside world. Anechoic chambers are used for Emission measurements as well as for Susceptibility measurements. |
