15th December 2010- emv GmbH becomes exclusive distributor for the Battery Test Systems from Bitrode

The U.S. manufacturer Bitrode based in St. Louis develops powerful Battery Formation and Testing Systems the corresponding software since 1957. emv GmbH takes over sales of the DC Sources/-Loads exclusively for Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Poland.

The Bitrode product line includes battery formation and charging solutions as well as test solutions for laboratory and production for all chemical compositions. In addition to diverse industrial applications the solutions from Bitrode are used by manufacturers of batteries, motors and components for hybrid and electric vehicles. These batteries require standardized tests (FUDS, ECE-15, DST) to simulate driving conditions for battery cells, modules and packs. Bitrode provides test solutions with the power, accuracy and fast switching, as required by these standards.

The High Power DC Sources / Loads from Bitrode are designed for Battery Simulation, Cell Testing and Hardware in the Loop Testing (HiL). They are fully regenerative and can be paralleled. They can be controlled either directly at the device or remote via CAN or other interfaces. Bitrode’s Visual LCN Lab Client Software is available as an option. Systemparameters like e. g. cell temperatures can be monitored.

Bitrode began to manufacture battery charging systems in 1957 as an internal Department of Acme Battery St. Louis, Missouri. Bitrode quickly developed into an independent company and delivered solutions for battery manufacturers, building on its experience in the industry.

With the Bitrode product line, emv completes the existing AC-DC Power product line with test solutions in the higher power range, which are specially tailored to the requirements of battery applications. Together with emv Bitrode can now offer local support to customers in this territory.
